The Embassy of Ideas is a vibrant and welcoming volunteer run community space in Alexandra designed to encourage community spirit and supports opportunities for social participation and connection that fosters an increased sense of belonging.
When we come together to connect and share, amazing things can happen; friendships are built, stories are told and opportunities are created.

We Are a Bumping Place
Community is built on relationships and people develop relationships through frequent contact with others. So, if you want to build community, you need places to bump into other people.
Initiatives like the Embassy of Ideas, are bumping spaces, the places where people come together to meet, share ideas or local knowledge, relate to one another, get comfort, feel connected and have the potential to co-create a vibrant and caring community.
